Having advised London based Neurology Consultants Dr Ali Al-Memar and Dr Oliver Foster on the commercial development of their first private neuro-diagnostics centre ‘Wimbledon Neurocare’ based at Parkside Hospital in Wimbledon, Rachel then advised them on successful expansion into a further 5 sites, including Welbeck Street, London W1.

In parallel with the success of Wimbledon Neurocare, Rachel also advised on their second successful venture Ascot Rehab. A private inpatient neurorehabilitation centre based in Ascot delivering outstanding neuro rehabilitation for individuals with acquired brain injuries. Ascot Rehab has also expanded and provides extensive outpatient rehabilitation for adults and children across multiple sites.

Ascot Rehab has won the King’s Award for Enterprise, International Trade 2023, having won the Queen’s award for Enterprise, International Trade in 2017.

Silver Linings Competition

As Co-founder of Silver Linings – together with Hugh Wheelan, founder of Responsible Investor, and Sally Bridgeland, Chair Impax Asset Management, this competition was aimed squarely at highlighting the importance of health for older generations to the pensions and finance sector. The goal was to generate innovative, scalable, sustainable and commercial businesses, serving the older community, and delivering both profit and social benefit.

Sponsorship was gained from the finance and legal sector. Winners were selected by our exceptional panel of judges drawn from across Pension Fund sector, Asset Management, Design, Architecture, and more – with the winners receiving access to the multidisciplinary team of judges, and a prize fund to further develop their business.

Developments in remote monitoring – both medical monitoring and social care – will drive improved outcomes, crucially at a lower cost to society, individuals and employers.
Intelligent Lilli – is a remote monitoring company for vulnerable adults.

Rachel was Chief Medical Officer for Lilli in the early days of their product development, between July 2021 – September 2022. As Lilli refined and developed its core product it focussed on non-medical intervention, aiding social care providers by reducing their labour needs, reducing their costs and helping keep care recipients safe.
